Nikah at Madinah Masjid
Madinah Masjid has not published its nikah policy or fees where we could find them, so we confirm them with the mosque for you. Many mosques ask for a valid marriage licence if you want the marriage legally registered, a wali, and two Muslim witnesses, and some limit nikahs to members or to certain days.

Can we hold our nikah at Madinah Masjid?
Send us your date, roughly how many guests you expect, and whether you need the legal marriage as well. We'll look into availability at Madinah Masjid and usually reply within 15 minutes, inshaAllah. If the date does not work there, we'll suggest other options in Toronto.
Do we need a marriage licence?
Only if you want the marriage legally registered. In that case you must obtain a marriage licence from your province (in Ontario, a city hall or municipal office) before the ceremony and bring it on the day. For a religious-only nikah, no licence is needed.
Can you also arrange an imam?
Yes. Tick the box on the enquiry form and we'll match you with an imam serving Toronto who can conduct the ceremony in your language. Every imam listing shows clearly whether they are a registered marriage officiant or perform the religious ceremony only.
What does a nikah at Madinah Masjid cost?
Madinah Masjid does not publish a nikah fee where we could find one, so we confirm it with the mosque for you. It also depends on the day and time, whether you need the legal marriage signed, and any extras like a certificate or photographer.
