• Whether you need a legal marriage or a religious ceremony only
• Any preferred imam, add-ons requested, and notes you provide

When you apply to join as an imam

• Your name, phone number, and email address
• Profile details such as bio, credentials, languages, madhhab, areas served, and mosques
• Optional profile photo and recitation audio sample you choose to upload

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and running.

• To match you with a suitable imam and coordinate your nikah request
• To review imam applications and publish approved profiles
• To contact you about your request and confirm availability
• To arrange add-ons you request, such as photography
• To operate, maintain, and improve the website

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our service:

• With imams and partners: details of your request may be shared with an imam (and, where you request it, an add-on partner such as a photographer) so they can fulfil your ceremony.
• With service providers: we use trusted third parties to run the site, including Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and Web3Forms (email notifications). They process data on our behalf.
• When required by law: if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or protect our rights.

An imam's phone number and email are kept private and are never displayed on their public profile.

We keep request and application records for as long as needed to provide our service and for reasonable business and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and our providers store data using industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw a profile or a request. To do so, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Our service is intended for adults arranging a nikah. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Please review it periodically.
